@andros it seems your GtS has issues:

> Warning! It looks like trusted-proxies is not set correctly in this instance's configuration. This may cause rate-limiting issues and, by extension, federation issues.
>
> If you are the instance admin, you should fix this by adding 10.66.66.1/32 to your trusted-proxies.

This Simon Willison’s post is a good read: https://simonwillison.net/2024/Dec/31/llms-in-2024/. If you haven’t read it, and are negatively or positively thinking of the so called AI, then you should.

There is more at Simon’s blog. It is worth spending some time in it.

@prologic, editing the profile in any way (and saving it, of course) is stripping out the `\u2028` from the description. Also, could the description field be changed to a `textarea` instead? Preferably to one who will "understand" new lines, and convert them to `\u2028` automatically?

I share my location from my iPhone using “Find My” app with friends and family. I also have a family share, with immediate family.

Even since upgrading to iOS 18, and *every once in a while*, the location of someone sharing with me gets frozen in time. I see them, but their location doesn’t change for hours. In the case of family share, I can see their device up-to-date, under “Devices”, but they show frozen on the “People” tab. Only way to fix it is for either of us—it doesn’t matter who—to stop sharing, and start sharing again. That has happened to me with three different people, and to three different people, with others (not me).

Is anyone using iOS 18+ experiencing something similar? I have sent feedback to Apple.

Portion of the modified Twitter TOS that goes into effect today (it's on right now), as summarised (ironically) by Google's Gemini:

> "In simpler terms, this means that when you share your content (like text, images, or videos) on the service, you're giving the company permission to use it in various ways. They can copy, modify, distribute, and even use it to train their AI models. This includes sharing your content with others and using it on other platforms. You won't be paid for this, but using the service itself is considered enough compensation."

@prologic, I don't know if you will notice that the first line on the block below has a slight indentation:

```
First line.
Second line.
Third line.
```

I believe this, on CSS, is causing it:

```
pre>code {
padding:0 .25rem;
}
```

"You have reached a non-working number at UPS [...]" says the recording. If it is a non-working number, it wouldn't even ring, right? It should have said "You have reached an outgoing calls only number at UPS [...]", or better yet, route outgoing call only numbers to the one we should be calling instead. Problem resolved.

This happened yesterday:

!Screenshot of an email, allegedly from Sendgrid

The first give away is the sender, `sendgrid@autovitalsinc.com`. Not Sengrid. Now, check the URL on the link provided to check the account activity:

```
https://u906946.ct.sendgrid.net/ls/click?upn=u001.eXk7eIEvNT22LuyWQ0fseoc5VY1jItvxPoavh2wfNVs292YMzvTAPj5D6nek1U6K7UfW_AsM5Hq3TBeAGlZrT-2F3g23iWCcJRPGZ-2B58DJxpgMgOTjgWklNQiAdGiHqmR6FFVhfWZJhnu1PSRslMuKGg1XNZs5e1lGu8kmdKhv7otlghl6qLMXiiXYZcvaUB5NruWwSBFcLdvi31NY-2Fru5oyrcrugm2iLYA0u5TiufyvA7SNTo3sDHx6WtS-2FmfEyN2svb9k1S4QGRFhuDseidMiFm0f9Q-3D-3D
```

I was curious, so I follow it on my dedicated VM for these kind of things. It took me to a page looking exactly like a Sendgrid login, with a `sendgrid.net` URL. Upon entering `yourmotherisahamster@gmail.com`, as username, and `yourfathersmellsofelderberries` as password, it sent me to https://screenprank.com/gandalf/.

It was well done. This morning the same link renders a blank page with a "Not found" link that takes you to a `404`. Hmm...

Something odd I have been noticing. Occasionally, when I come to twtxt.net on mobile, the keyboard comes up but there is nothing to type. There is some code left behind from the old onfocus that’s causing this, I gather.

I noticed it almost after it was implemented, but never mention it, and I kind of feel guilty for not doing it. Yarn's search became super helpful ever since commit `2199cedf12`. Granted, it is not the full browsing experience I always dreamed for Yarn but, still, a **huge** leap forward.

I just typed something that took me a while to enter, hit post, and lost everything because I was logged out. Can that be disabled? Let me be logged in for as long as I want (or for a very long time), unless I hit logout, or account for the previously entered text, and present it (or run the post action), after having to re-login?

So, I found a few oddities while on mobile.

* From “Timeline”, I need to tap reply twice to have it fill the user’s handle being replied to.
* From “Mentions”, “Discovery”, and inside Yarns, I need to almost spam it, to have it fill the user’s handle being replied to.

That doesn’t happen while on the desktop.

@darch, the “Settings” screen has issues as well. I can screenshot it and twtxt about it, but it is easier to see. Click on “Settings” and see the alignment of the three blue buttons, and width in comparison with the rest of the page. This on both, desktop, and mobile.
